The Metropolitan Christian Council of Philadelphia's (MCCP) mission is to be a visible expression of the Church of Jesus Christ in the Greater Philadelphia area.

The Metropolitan Christian Council of Philadelphia gathers the Church in all its diversity for worship, witness, and service, seeking a transformation of public life consistent with the loving purposes and righteousness of God.

The Council is governed by a Board of Directors composed of the representatives from various denominations and Christian-based organizations.

MCCP supports ministries that encourage community Revitalization, Dismantling Racism and sexism in the church.
